East Delhi district is one of the 11 districts of the National Capital Territory of Delhi in India. The district is an administrative district of the East Delhi National Capital Region, located on the other side of the Yamuna River or in the Trans Yamuna region, it is bounded by the Uttar Pradesh border of Noida and Ghaziabad. According to the 2011 census it has a total area of 64 km² (24.71 sq mi) and a population of 1,709,346. It is situated at an altitude of 239 meters above sea level. The district is well connected to Delhi and neighboring states and is one of the most congested and busiest places in Delhi.
